The FDIC is committed to the principles of equal opportunity in all of its programs, policies, and practices and promotes diversity and inclusion in its workforce as well as in its programs and activities.
The FDIC Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) has the responsibility for its diversity and inclusion, equal employment opportunity (EEO), and civil rights programs to ensure the FDIC workplace is inclusive, free from unlawful discrimination and harassment, and provides equal opportunity and access to all employment and business activities.
The OMWI Equal Opportunity Compliance and Training Branch ensures that the FDIC’s administrative discrimination complaint process is in compliance with 29 C.F.R. 1614 and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Management Directive 110. The Branch is also responsible for EEO-related policies and training, reports on EEO statistical data, and provides guidance to all employees, former employees, applicants for employment, and those doing business with and for the FDIC.
The Equal Opportunity Compliance and Training Branch neither represents the employee filing a complaint, nor the management official(s) named in a complaint. The Branch’s role is to administer the regulations neutrally and fairly, to inform all parties of their responsibilities during the EEO Administrative Complaint Process.
