The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and Allies for Community Business will host a Community Development Forum that will provide bankers with specific ideas on how to partner with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs). This event will feature an overview of how two CDFIs lend to start-ups and entrepreneurs of underserved communities and client success stories. The legacy Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) will be discussed along with practical examples of how banks can get credit by serving on the boards and committees of CDFIs. The event is designed to encourage lenders, compliance staff, and investment officers to build a stronger professional network focused on CRA and small business.
