The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is hosting the Los Angeles Alliance for Economic Inclusion (AEI) Tri-Annual Forum: Building Strong and Healthy Communities. The Forum will highlight opportunities to increase small business lending and community development lending, investments, and services. The State of California will discuss programs that support small business lending. Featured presenters also include representatives from Clearinghouse CDFI and the South Los Angeles Transit Empowerment Zone (Slate-Z). These initiatives provide opportunities to increase access to capital for small businesses, use New Markets Tax Credits to expand community development financing, and revitalize the community designated in the South Los Angeles Empowerment Zone.

The AEI has three Working Groups that focus on expanding economic inclusion. They will convene over lunch to further their work and begin designing their respective 2025 Action Plans.

The AEI consists of banks, credit unions, community-based nonprofits, foundations, Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), and government agencies serving Los Angeles. If your organization is in one of these categories, we invite you to join the effort to expand economic inclusion in Los Angeles.
