The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), and the Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA) are hosting a roundtable. The event will explore opportunities for partnerships with Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) that play a crucial role in the economic development of rural Wisconsin. CDFIs are specialized financial institutions that aim to expand opportunities for low- and moderate-income (LMI) communities by providing technical assistance and access to financial products. This roundtable is a unique learning opportunity, allowing participants to differentiate the ways CDFIs finance the development of affordable housing, small businesses or essential community facilities. Three CDFI experts will share strategies to make social, economic, and environmental impact in underserved communities.
