The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is hosting an event promoting affordable housing in Central Iowa. The Central Iowa region is home to a vibrant network of organizations that foster community development and access to affordable housing for low -and moderate-income families. This event is an opportunity to bring together the banking and community development communities in one space to form collaborations and highlight opportunities for banks to meet their obligations under the Community Reinvestment Act. Speakers from the FDIC, Neighborhood Finance Corporation, Home, Inc., Iowa Economic Development Authority, Iowa Finance Authority and the Polk County Housing Trust Fund will outline innovative best practices and success stories that have been successful in achieving affordable housing throughout the Central Iowa region.
