FDIC Hosts Forum to Promote Affordable Banking for Spanish-Speakers in San Jose, CA

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host an in-person forum in Spanish to promote affordable bank accounts for unbanked Spanish-speakers in the San Jose –Sunnyvale - Santa Clara MSA of California. The event will feature resources, programs, and products from local technical assistance providers and insured financial institutions serving language and culturally challenged Latinos. The event focuses on promoting long-term partnerships among members of the local financial eco-system, including banks, credit unions, community development financial institutions (CDFIs), and other community organizations that result in low- and moderate-income individuals limited by language barriers establishing affordable banking relationships.
