The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a forum for financial institutions and community organizations who aim to present resources and programs from local organizations. These organizations assist unbanked/underbanked low-and-moderate income (LMI) individuals to gain access to safe and affordable financial services. The event will also highlight the need for consumers to become banked and inform financial institutions of potential Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) consideration. Additionally, information about existing programs will enable attendees to understand the importance of credit building programs in LMI communities, along with the feasibility to design and implement such initiatives.
