The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will host a webinar to create an awareness of Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and highlight collaborative opportunities that help support small business development. This event will provide a platform for financial institutions to learn more about partnership opportunities with local and regional CDFIs and about community development lending, investment, and service opportunities, which have the potential to strengthen small businesses and earn positive Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) consideration. The U.S. Department of the Treasury will provide an overview of CDFIs and CDFI fund award programs, and the Opportunity Finance Network will discuss the advantages of working with CDFIs to address small business funding. Participants will also hear from a panel of bankers and CDFIs from across the region, who will discuss collaboration efforts and share success stories. The event will target all CDFIs and financial institutions throughout Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Minnesota.
