FDIC Hosts Houston AEI Fourth Quarter Meeting: A Path to Financial Wellness – Expanding Access to Consumer Credit

The Houston Alliance for Economic Inclusion (AEI) will host its fourth quarter meeting highlighting access to consumer credit. The City of Houston Financial Empowerment Center and two Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs), the Capital Good Fund, and RGV Multibank will raise awareness of how limited access to consumer credit has affected Texas households. Presenters will also share information about their assistance programs. Attendees will hear about partnership opportunities within the community to help increase access to credit for consumers. The webinar will conclude with an overview of how the pandemic has changed efforts and discuss collaboration opportunities for banks, community-based-organizations (CBOs), and other stakeholders.
