The Louisiana Alliance for Economic Inclusion (AEI) will host a webinar on efforts to build affordable homes in rural and urban parts of the state. Affordable housing faces challenges with the current high rate of inflation that causes all things to be more costly. Rising rents and eviction rates for multi-family unit dwellers are pressing issues that make buying a house more difficult. The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development, Home by Hand, Inc., and The Fuller Center for Housing of Northwest Louisiana will highlight their programs that work to make housing more affordable.
Presenters:
- Faye Hornsby, Single Family Housing Program Director, USDA Rural Development
- Oji Alexander, Executive Director, Home by Hand, Inc.
- Lee Jeter, Executive Director, The Fuller Center for Housing of Northwest Louisiana
- Tepricka Morgan, Community Affairs Specialist, FDIC
Who should attend:
Financial institutions, CDFIs, non-profit organizations, other community-based organizations, state and local government, and other stakeholders across Louisiana interested in affordable housing and sustainable homeownership.
