The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) hosts “Mortgage Access for BIPOC: Addressing Inherited Inequality in Pennsylvania.” Participants will hear from the authors of two recent reports, “Inherited Inequality,” and “What's Behind the Racial Homeownership Gap in Philadelphia?” Community development practitioners from Pittsburgh and Philadelphia will share information on their research, advocacy and programs that work to address the homeownership gap, as well as the real estate value gap between white and black Pennsylvanians. Regulators will also discuss how affordable housing support can receive positive CRA credit.
