The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is hosting a webinar on increasing access to affordable bank accounts in North and South Dakota. Presenters will provide an overview of the FDIC How America Banks Survey, highlight research from the Cities for Financial Empowerment (CFE) Fund, and discuss the need to broaden access to bank accounts that meet CFE National Account Standards. The event will also feature best practices from financial institutions and highlight efforts to increase the number of Native-owned/serving financial institutions that offer low-cost, certified accounts.
