FDIC and AABC host the 2022 AEI Alabama Statewide Bank On Virtual Conference

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and Alabama Asset Building Coalition (AABC) will host an Alliance for Economic Inclusion (AEI) Alabama Statewide Bank On Conference: Addressing Banking and Community Barriers in Alabama’s Low- and Moderate-Income Communities. The webinar is designed to inform financial institutions and community stakeholders about opportunities to invest and to partner with the statewide Alabama Bank On, VITA, and financial education initiatives. The national and regional speakers will provide an overview of Bank On, Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and financial literacy resources and strategies. They will also give an in-depth perspective of the socioeconomic conditions communities in Alabama are facing. The speakers will discuss innovative partnership opportunities to promote and encourage financial education, saving, and lending. The attendees will be provided resources and tools to support the ongoing investment needs for financial education, and safe and affordable banking products and services.
