The Federal Deposit Insurance Incorporation (FDIC), in collaboration with key local community organizations, will host a webinar to promote Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) sites in the Pacific Northwest as viable community development services and community development investments for financial institutions. Additionally, there is a strong need to bolster collaboration among service providers and financial institutions to increase the number of low-income households accessing tax services. This webinar will highlight the critical needs for organizations providing free tax services for low-income families and feature opportunities to expand collaboration among community stakeholders in the states of Washington and Oregon.
