The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host a webinar to raise awareness of a broad array of tools and programs to help households across Minnesota access safe and affordable credit. The event will cover specific barriers to credit in Minnesota’s Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities and the education tools and community-based programs that can address them. Presenters will discuss credit trends for Minnesota households, the organizations that offer nonprofit credit counseling, and the availability of Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI)-based credit-building loans.
