For Release
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Chairman Jelena McWilliams today issued the following statement:
Travis Hill, Deputy to the Chairman for Policy, has informed me of his intent to resign effective February 7, 2022.
Since he arrived at the FDIC in July 2018, Travis has been indispensable on my leadership team. His guidance and insight have played a pivotal role in virtually every major piece of policy, guidance, and regulation issued by the FDIC during my tenure. In interagency negotiations and international engagements, Travis has represented the FDIC and my office with utmost integrity and an unparalleled knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape governing financial services. His intellectual curiosity and thoughtful approach have earned the trust of his peers and the respect of leaders at partner agencies, in the private sector, and among our international counterparts. He has my undying gratitude for his efforts on behalf of the FDIC and for his friendship.
