FDIC Chairman Jelena McWilliams Joins White House Initiative on HBCUs to Host Virtual Town Hall on Financial Planning

FDIC joins White House Initiative on HBCUs for a Virtual Town Hall: Plan Your Financial Future. Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 5:30 to 7:00 P.M. (ET)

The FDIC is partnering with the White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) to help students and recent graduates to take control of their financial education and financial future. On Thursday, April 29th, the FDIC and its partners will host a virtual town hall, “Plan Your Financial Future,” where HBCU alumni who are current FDIC employees will share financial tools and resources to help participants manage student loans, eliminate debt, create a budget, and transition financially from a student to a professional.

In closing remarks, FDIC Chairman McWilliams will share her personal financial journey and reiterate her commitment to support the HBCU Initiative.
