The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) will host an event to promote Voluntary Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program partnership opportunities in South Florida. The event will include an Internal Revenue Service (IRS) representative to discuss tax credit opportunities and partnership opportunities. Bank On information will be provided to promote financial empowerment. FDIC will share information on the 2023 Unbanked and Underbanked Household Survey and Economic Inclusion partnership opportunities. The event will aim to increase the number of individuals, particularly low- and moderate-income individuals, who are establishing bank accounts. Attendees will learn about collaborative opportunities to support and partner with Florida organizations committed to holistic approaches to economic inclusion.
