The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) is proud to offer a webinar series, Digital Equity Insights: Expanding Economic Inclusion for Stronger, Digitally-Inclusive Communities. This series brings together digital equity leaders and stakeholders to explore and develop collaborative strategies, as well as joint initiatives, that leverage geographic proximity to address shared digital equity challenges. Webinar #2 of 4: Assembling States’ Digital Equity Plans – A Comprehensive Strategy to Measure Impact. Join us in the second of four interactive webinars as we explore States’ digital equity plans designed to bridge the digital divide for greater economic inclusion. This session will highlight components within the plans to increase understanding and foster a coordinated, systemic approach to alleviating intergenerational poverty for low-to-moderate income families and communities.
Title III of the Infrastructure Bill, also known as the Digital Equity Act of 2021 (Act), offers an unprecedented opportunity to tackle the digital divide impacting historically underserved and marginalized populations, including racial and ethnic minorities, rural communities, veterans, and low-income households. The Act authorizes over $2.75 billion in funding for digital equity programs over the next five years.
