The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), in collaboration with NeighborWorks Salt Lake and Bank On Salt Lake, is conducting an in-person forum to promote community development collaborations that expand Low-to Moderate-Income (LMI) household access to free income tax filling services, the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC), and affordable Bank On certified account options. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) administrators and Bank On Salt Lake coalition leaders will provide bankers and other community stakeholders with actionable opportunities to support community development, including by offering affordable accounts to unbanked and underbanked LMI households that access VITA services.
