The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) will host a banker roundtable in Augusta, GA. The purpose of the roundtable is to understand the evolving needs impacting Augusta's marginalized communities, particularly in the context of disaster recovery. Presenters from the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta will discuss their disaster recovery research and share insights into fostering deeper community engagement. Attendees will have an opportunity to share their perspectives for a collaborative effort, and opportunities for making safe and sound investments in low- to moderate-income (LMI) communities. Information on the legacy Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and its role in disaster recovery will also be shared.
