On Friday, April 29, 2011, The Park Avenue Bank was closed by the Georgia Department of Banking and Finance. The FDIC was named Receiver. Bank of the Ozarks, Little Rock, AR acquired all deposit accounts, excluding the Cede & Co. deposits.
The FDIC as Receiver for The Park Avenue Bank, Valdosta, GA has taken all actions necessary to terminate the Receivership Estate. The Receiver published a legal notice of intent to terminate the receivership on May 30, 2023 and has made all dividend distributions required by law.
Effective November 1, 2023, the Receiver was discharged and the Receivership Estate was terminated and ceased existence as a legal entity.
