On Friday, April 23, 2010, New Century Bank was closed by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Division of Banking. The FDIC was named Receiver. MB Financial Bank, N.A., Chicago, IL acquired all deposit accounts.
The FDIC as Receiver for New Century Bank, Chicago, IL has taken all actions necessary to terminate the Receivership Estate. The Receiver published a legal notice of intent to terminate the receivership on April 9, 2021 and has made all dividend distributions required by law.
Effective September 1, 2021, the Receiver was discharged and the Receivership Estate was terminated and ceased existence as a legal entity.
