Timothy Rich Named FDIC Atlanta Regional Director

WASHINGTON — The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has appointed Timothy (Tim) Rich Regional Director, Atlanta Region. In this position, he directs both Risk Management and Consumer Protection supervision programs for financial institutions headquartered in the Region.
Mr. Rich has been with the FDIC for more than 36 years and has held a number of leadership positions within the Division of Risk Management Supervision, including Deputy Regional Director in the Atlanta Region since 2021, and Assistant Regional Director in the Atlanta Region for 10 years prior.
Mr. Rich began his career as a Bank Examiner in the Knoxville, TN Field Office, and later served as case manager, senior examiner, and senior examination specialist. He also served assignments as Acting Deputy Regional Director in both the Atlanta and New York Regions.
Mr. Rich holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Montevallo, and he is a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Rich also successfully completed the Senior Executive Fellows Program at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University.
