WASHINGTON – The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation will convene the first meeting of its Advisory Committee of State Regulators (ACSR) on Wednesday, October 14 th at 1:00 pm ET. The FDIC’s advisory committee members will discuss and receive updates on a range of policy issues regarding the regulation of state-chartered financial institutions throughout the U.S. and its territories.
The inaugural meeting’s agenda includes a discussion of state banking conditions, financial technology and an update on efforts to expand financial inclusion. Read the full agenda .
On November 19, 2019, the FDIC Board of Directors approved the formation of the ACSR as a forum where state banking regulators and the FDIC can discuss a variety of current and emerging issues that have potential implications regarding the regulation and supervision of state-chartered financial institutions.
