Compliance Examination Handbook
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation's Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection has revised its Compliance Examination Handbook . The new handbook covers policies and procedures in effect as of June 2006 for compliance and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) examinations. Since the handbook's last revision in 1999, a significant volume of examination procedures and guidance has been issued. The latest edition of the handbook includes this new information and presents it in a manner that reflects the risk-focused compliance examination process. Revised CRA examination procedures and performance evaluations are also included. A description of the handbook's organization and contents is attached. As indicated when the previous edition of the handbook was released, the handbook will be available to all interested parties in electronic format only. It can be accessed on the FDIC's Web site, free of charge, at http://www.fdic.gov/regulations/compliance/handbook/index.html. Those who subscribe to the handbook will receive it on CD-ROM. Updates to the handbook will also be available in electronic format only and will automatically be sent to subscribers.
