The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) has learned that counterfeit cashier's checks drawn on Community Bank of the Midwest, Great Bend, Kansas , are currently in circulation. The counterfeit items bear the routing number 101107860. The counterfeit instruments appear to be quality copies of a cashier's check recently purchased from the bank. Other elements that indicate a potentially counterfeit instrument include the absence of two signatures (especially on larger dollar checks), and the lack of a typewritten dollar amount.
