The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) has asked the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to circulate information to FDIC-supervised institutions about fictitious documents that contain proposals suggesting that individuals can claim certain international payments reportedly being held by the OCC. A copy of the OCC Alert describing these documents is attached for your information. Copies of the fictitious documents are also attached. Information about these documents may be forwarded to the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, Enforcement and Compliance Division, 250 E Street, SW, Washington, DC 20219. Information also may be sent to the FDIC's Special Activities Section, 550 17th Street, NW, Room F-6012, Washington, DC 20429.
