The Federal Financial Institutions Examination Council (FFIEC) has announced that it will host its 2000 Risk Management Planning Seminar on June 1 and 2 in Chicago, IL. These planning seminars provide an excellent opportunity for senior management to discuss risk management issues and examination procedures with regulators. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) encourages all institutions to send a senior staff member to this year's event. I will deliver the opening remarks. Laurence H.
