"Partners" Mortgage Prequalification Software

TO: CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER and
COMPLIANCE OFFICER

SUBJECT: "Partners" Mortgage Prequalification Software
Developed by the Federal Reserve

The Federal Reserve recently developed a software package called "Partners" to assist lenders and community groups in prequalifying low- and moderate-income loan applicants. Although the FDIC does not require the use of any particular software package in conjunction with an institution's mortgage lending, the FDIC is making "Partners" available to FDIC-supervised banks and other organizations.

The enclosed diskette can be used to install "Partners." It is designed to run in an MS Windows 3.1 or higher environment. The company brochure provides additional information about the software and instructions for installation.

Questions concerning this software can be directed to the Federal Reserve Bank and contacts listed in the brochure or the "Partners" technical assistance hotline at (404) 589-7358.
